I'm a 37 year old South Africa living in Zadar, Croatia. I've spent most of my life surrounded by the ocean. My father was a fisherman so I was exposed to the 'boat life' from very young. Apart from fishing I also surf, water-ski, paddle, SUP and everything else involving the sea. Most of my experience is on motorboats but I have a love for sailing as well. While I've owned motor boats I have serious ambitions to cross oceans on a sail boat. I have a professional skippers license which allows me to captain any vessel of up to 30 gross tons, that includes both motor and sailing boats. I have started a business in Zadar Croatia which specialises in boat rentals. My wife and I have a strong passion for travel so we would like to work our way to owning a large sailing boat in which to see the world :)
